Sauder Schelkopf LLP is investigating potential claims arising from reported issues with mammography services at a clinic located in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia.
It has been reported that: “In a letter to patients dated March 23, [a doctor] told patients that the Food & Drug Administration ordered The Greenbrier Clinic to stop performing mammography on February 26, 2026. The letter was sent via certified mail to all patients who received a mammogram at the clinic between October 28, 2023, and February 26, 2026.”
The Real WV: FDA halts mammography at Greenbrier Clinic
What Happened:
According to publicly reported information, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) required a West Virginia clinic to stop performing mammography services on February 26, 2026 after determining that the facility did not meet required clinical image quality standards established by its accreditation body.
Patients who received mammograms between October 28, 2023, and February 26, 2026 were notified in March 2026 that there were “serious concerns” about the quality of those mammography services.

What Patients Should Know
- The notification does not necessarily mean that any individual result was inaccurate, but patients are being advised to consult their physicians.
- Many patients may need to determine whether repeat mammograms are appropriate.
- The situation may involve a large group of patients who underwent screening during the affected time period.
Potential Concerns
Situations like this can raise important issues, including:
- Whether patients were billed for services that did not meet applicable standards
- Whether patients relied on results that may require confirmation
- Whether additional medical monitoring or follow-up care is necessary
Our Investigation
Sauder Schelkopf LLP is evaluating potential claims on behalf of individuals who:
- Received mammography services at the affected facility during the relevant timeframe; and/or
- Were later notified about potential quality concerns
If you or someone you know may have been affected, we encourage you to contact us for a confidential consultation.
