Feb 24, 2025: Abington Township, PA – National litigation firm Sauder Schelkopf has filed a class-action lawsuit against SPS Technologies, alleging negligence and environmental violations following the massive industrial fire that erupted at the company’s Abington Township facility on February 17, 2025. The lawsuit, filed on behalf of affected residents, claims that SPS failed to maintain its fire suppression system and caused an evacuation of certain neighbors.
“This fire has had a significant impact on the community,” said attorney Joseph G. Sauder of Sauder Schelkopf. “Residents have faced disruptions, concerns about their health, and damage to their homes. Our lawsuit seeks to ensure accountability and help those affected recover from this incident.”
The legal action seeks compensation for displacement, property damage, and medical monitoring linked to the disaster.
