Sauder Schelkopf is investigating a potential class action lawsuit against E-Z Pass. Excessive and unnecessary E-Z Pass charges have been reported by outlets including Consumer Affairs, the website of Consumers Unified LLC, which has complaints about E-ZPass from across the country. Many of the complaints deal with wrongful violations and billing errors. A Pittsburgh TV station reported on motorists who had been wrongly billed. A New York television station reported on E-Z Pass readers that were not recognizing the credit cards on file. In New Jersey, a married couple were being charged as if their cars were trucks with three axles.
