Sauder Schelkopf is investigating complaints on behalf of Waste Connections aka Eagle Disposal customers. Eagle Disposal has acknowledged and apologized for “the recent service delays that you may have experienced. We understand how frustrating it can be and we want to assure you that we are taking immediate steps to resolve this situation and satisfy our customers. Due to a shortage of employees, we have fallen behind on some of our collections. We are working tirelessly to hire new employees and restructure our operations to get back on track as soon as possible.” In Feb 2023, the Pennsylvania Attorney General announced that a settlement was reached with Eagle Disposal of PA, Inc., “for alleged violations of Pennsylvania’s Unfair Trade Practice and Consumer Protection Law. According to the investigation, in 2021 Eagle failed to collect trash and/or recycling from over 1,800 residential subscription customers for multiple weeks at a time.”
Sauder Schelkopf represented dentists, physicians, and veterinarians as part of the $295,000,000 nationwide class action settlement. The lawsuit claimed that Stericycle, a medical waste disposal company, engaged in a practice of imposing Automated Price Increases in violation of the contracts with certain of its customers.
