Sauder Schelkopf is investigating potential lawsuits on behalf of CenturyLink customers impacted by the catastrophic 911 emergency outage in December 2018.  The cause of the outage is still under investigation.  On December 28, 2018, Ajit Pai, agency chairman of the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC), stated “The CenturyLink service outage is … completely unacceptable, and its breadth and duration are particularly troubling.”  Pai also stated “I’ve directed the Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau to immediately launch an investigation into the cause and impact of this outage.”  According to CenturyLink’s website, it provides services to customers in 35 states.
