Sauder Schelkopf is investigating a class action lawsuit on behalf of customers of Aqua Pennsylvania, Inc. (“Aqua Pennsylvania”). Aqua Pennsylvania provides water and wastewater services to approximately 490,000 Pennsylvania customers in 32 Counties. Individuals have alleged that, in some instances, they have received significantly inflated bills from Aqua Pennsylvania, including additional and confusing service fees. In some instances, it has been alleged that customer bills are not even directly related to a customer’s water usage and/or are instead calculated from a meter located at another residence. These billing practices and additional fees may be in direct violation of contracts with Pennsylvania customers.
