Sauder Schelkopf is investigating a potential class action against TransUnion—one of the “big three” major credit bureaus—after it reported a data breach with the Massachusetts Attorney General on November 7, 2022. TransUnion reportedly sent letters to consumers alerting them of the data breach that compromised a wide array of personal and financial information including consumers’ names, full Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, and complete driver’s license numbers.

Although the number of impacted consumers is yet unknown, TransUnion is one of the largest consumer credit reporting agencies in the world, collecting information from more than 1 billion individuals around the globe and 200 million from within the United States alone, according to the company. Below is an article further discussing the TransUnion data breach:
