Allegheny County Police Department stated:

County Police seek additional information following the arrest of a former teacher.

On November 7, County Police received a ChildLine report regarding a juvenile male victim alleging he was sexually assaulted by [former teacher] in 2021. [He] was a teacher in the Highlands School District at the time.

Detectives initiated an investigation and identified a second juvenile male victim in connection with the investigation. Based on additional information gathered throughout the investigation, County Police filed multiple charges against [him] on December 4 to include involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, unlawful contact with a minor, and sexual extortion. [He] is currently in the Allegheny County Jail.

  • University of Michigan Settlement: The firm achieved a class action settlement against the University of Michigan, resulting in landmark institutional reforms addressing on-campus sexual misconduct.
  • Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Lawsuit: Sauder Schelkopf filed a lawsuit against Devereux, alleging sexual, physical, and emotional abuse of children in their care. The firm is seeking compensatory and other damages for the victims.
