Sauder Schelkopf is investigating a possible defect in the axles of Grand Design Recreational Vehicles (RV’s). There have been numerous reports that the axles on Grand Design RVs, manufactured by Lippert Components, are leaking grease, resulting in significant grease contamination on their brake pads and rotors. Grease contamination of brake pads and rotors can present a serious safety issue. As a result, these issues can lead to catastrophic brake failure along with safety issues and costly repairs. Unfortunately, Grand Design and Lippert often decline to repair and/or replace the defective axles under warranty. As a result, current and former owners are often forced to pay for such repairs out-of-pocket. Lippert Components axles are installed on many RV brands including on Grand Design Recreational Vehicles.
