Sauder Schelkopf is investigating class action lawsuits on behalf of individuals who purchased an Apple MacBook Pro Retina 2016 or later. Consumers have complained of stage lighting. This allegedly appears at the bottom of the screen when you set the laptop to a high brightness level. Backlight shutdown has been reported to occur after opening the lid to a certain degree. It is alleged that these are both the result of a fractured display flex cable due to its design flaw. This has also been referred to as “Flexgate.”
