Class action lawsuit against Subaru for DriverFocus Distraction Mitigation System/Driver Monitoring System privacy violations.
Sauder Schelkopf, along with co-counsel, has filed a class action lawsuit against Subaru for violations of the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (“BIPA”). The lawsuit alleges that Subaru violated the BIPA by scanning, capturing, collecting, obtaining and/or using drivers’ biometric identifiers and/or biometric information without consent through the DriverFocus Distraction Mitigation System/Driver Monitoring System equipped standard in many Subaru vehicles.

- Subaru Legacy Limited XT – MY 2020-2022
- Subaru Legacy Touring XT – MY 2020-2022
