Sauder Schelkopf is investigating reports of recurring engine oil leaks in certain Jeep Wrangler vehicles equipped with 3.6L engines.

Owners have reported conditions in which engine oil appears to accumulate in the upper portion of the engine and subsequently leak onto surrounding components and the ground, sometimes without clear warning indicators. In some instances, drivers have described burning oil odors, visible leaks, or the need for repeated repairs to address the condition.

We are currently gathering information from vehicle owners who have experienced:

  • Engine oil leaks or unexplained oil loss
  • Oil accumulation in the engine compartment
  • Burning oil smells or smoke
  • Repeated repairs related to oil leaks
