Sauder Schelkopf is investigating a class action lawsuit on behalf of Hyundai Elantra, Palisade, Santa Fe, Sonata, and Tucson vehicles (model years 2018 – 2022) that are prone to premature AC compressor failure. It has been alleged that consumers with these Hyundai vehicles are experiencing AC compressor failure that results in refrigerant leaks, noises, circuit breaks, and the AC blowing out warm air. It has also been alleged that consumers who present their vehicles to Hyundai for repair are informed that this AC compressor failure is considered normal and are denied warranty coverage for the necessary repairs or, in situations where AC compressor replacement is required, that Hyundai does not have the parts needed to complete the replacement. As a result, current and former owners and lessees may be forced to pay for replacement parts and repairs out-of-pocket or are stuck with a non-operable air conditioning system while awaiting the parts required for the repair to be completed.
