Olivia Power is a senior at the University of Maryland, majoring in Criminology and Criminal Justice. Passionate about social impact and advocacy, she has dedicated her academic and professional experiences to empowering communities and driving meaningful change.
On campus, Olivia serves as an Ambassador with the Do Good Institute, where she connects students with critical funding and research opportunities. Her efforts have directly contributed to over $100,000 in awards for students and organizations. Additionally, as a Community Assistant for South Campus Commons, Olivia plays a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and safety of on-campus residents. She manages sensitive resident information and responds to concerns, helping to create a secure and supportive living environment for students.
Beyond campus, Olivia previously interned with Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) as an Impact Intern. During her time, she developed essential resources for volunteers supporting incarcerated foster youth. She now continues her advocacy as a Volunteer Recruitment Assistant, focusing on client intake and relationship management to strengthen CASA’s mission.
In her free time, Olivia enjoys watching movies and hosting game nights with friends. After graduation, she plans to attend law school, with the goal of using her legal expertise to advocate for disadvantaged communities and drive systemic change.
